About the event
In 2022, as the twin crises of climate and biodiversity continue to grow, forests must be put at the top of the international agenda.
The conference, that will be held in Brussels on March 24 and online, will gather leaders of international organizations, national and local governments, leaders from the private sector, from the indigenous communities, scientists, young environmentalists and NGOs. Speakers will share their views and inputs to catalyze actions designed to meet the objectives set during the New York Declaration as well as the Global Forest Goals.
As an annual international landmark event dedicated to forests, the Global Forest Summit intends to monitor global forest development in regards to the commitments made in international texts from 2022 to 2030.
