Key ICI messages

At COP 27, ICI is bringing three key messages to the globe's decision makers and stakeholders, review and share them by clicking each image to download and use social media cards!

Indigenous-led solutions can help us understand how things are transforming and lead the way towards an inclusive world that values solidarity, sustainability and science as embodied by nature’s best stewards: Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities.

Direct access to climate finance requires more effective channeling of funding to Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities and long-term local capacity building with attention to organizational strengthening.

The Inclusive Conservation Initiative (ICI), a GEF project implemented by IUCN in partnersh

ip with Conservation International, is supporting USD 25 million in direct financing to Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities and leading on sharing knowledge and strengthening capacities to make the case for direct conservation finance.
